The structure of our fee proposal is based on the RIAS SCA 2000, Scottish Conditions of Appointment and the RIBA Schedule of Design Services and a preliminary construction budget.
Inkdesign aims to offer our clients a variable fixed fee which is based on – the complexity of each individual project, the time involved and a percentage of the approximate construction cost. On request, a percentage fee or an hourly rate can also be provided, if required.
We would aim to establish a realistic budget cost for the construction of the build at the start of the process so as to help calculate this fee.
Our fees do not include for other consultants that may be appointed as part of the design team. This could include a topographical surveyor and possibly a drainage specialist. We would certainly be required to appoint a structural engineer and it may become apparent that the appointment of a mechanical and services engineer, a quantity surveyor and a CDM coordinator may also be necessary.
At the start of the project, we will let you know which of the consultants would be required, and what the approximate costs would be. These consultants would be independent of inkdesign and, as such, would be invoiced independently.
Please note that all professional fees quoted are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise specified.
Payment terms are 14 days from the invoice date.
